Yes, we are one of those SoCal families that flock to the smallest incling of snow. We drove up to my parents cabin for a few days to actually feel "winter." The 70 degree weather here just isn't cuttin it! There was barely any snow. We witnessed those sledding down the mud on the side of the road. That's how desperate we Southern Californians are.

Kiera absolutely LOVED sledding. We couldn't keep her off the hill. SHE HAS NO FEAR!
Kienan & Mackenzie only tried it a few times and then they were over it. Good thing we didn't pay $40 at a tubing park!!!!
The very bestest part was being "unplugged." No cell phone reception, no TV, no DVD player, no computer... nada, nothin, zip, zilch...just each other :)
WE played games, made fireplace smores, and kyle even took the 2 kids on a "bear hunt." (My mom actually encountered a bear a few months ago on their property.) Kyle handmade the kids some hunting guns out of wood for protection. i love those daddy moments!
i found kienan one morning like this still in his jammies... he was just so happy to be outside and in the snow!
kiera kept herself busy with what, i do not know. But she stayed happy!
Mackenzie's favorite part was the smores. She is my sweets girl for sure!
sometimes i really, really, like being in the middle of nowhere....
