Dinosaur Expedition

So i had a really fun afternoon with the kids. i had found these plastic dinosaur fossils awhile ago. i took a picture of each dinosaur and made an "Expedition Book" for Kienan and Mackenzie. While i was making their books Kienan decided they needed a map of Utah (where there are real dinosaur remains). So they each drew up their own map. Then they put on expedition hats, backpacks, and grabbed a marker. Too cute! They decided to use paint brushes as their tool to dig up these dinosaur fossils that i buried in the sand. They were sooo excited to find the fossils and mark them in their books :) Then of course they took it beyond my ideas. Kienan started a fossil museum and then found 2 of our dinosaur books. He used one of the books to identify which fossils he had discovered. I could eat him up! Sometimes there are days that i think my kids are the most AMAZING people i will ever encounter and i inspire to be more like them. Of course i have those days that i wonder whose idea was it to have children, but fortunately today was one of those warm fuzzy days. Kiera was not left behind. She grazed through the fossil areas eating some sand and depositing some in her hair while leaving crawling tracks this way and that way.
