Gak- Don't Be Afraid

My Little Scientists

I learned about GAK when i taught preschool. It reminds me of Flubber. Have you rented that movie with your kids, Flubber with Robin Williams (he's a favorite for me)? We watched it a couple Friday nights ago and the movie inspired me to get out the GAK recipe.

It has the strangest consistency and really is not even messy. Promise. It's kinda like Silly Putty. Try it. Don't be afraid. A lot LESS messier than Play-dough to me.

Kiera is deathly afraid of anything that wiggles: snakes, worms, etc.... she kept eyeing the slowly, stretching GAK making sure it wasn't anything that might wiggle her way. Those plastic berry containers from the grocery store are perfect for it to drip thru. The drip is SUPER slow.

Here is a fun GAK link with the recipe and a science explanation for the older kiddos.

HAVE FUN!
